This was painted up on a Lake Michigan dune about a mile north of VanBuren State Park in SW Michigan. It was quite a trek up to this vista, but well worth the effort! That was the first day in several years that I had been able to paint with the Plein Air Artists of West Michigan. It was great to spend sometime with our friend Richard Jordan, the organizer of the group, (unfortunately we didn't see any of the other artists up there while I was painting). All in all however it was great day!
